Seedance 2.0 Mini is the one Seedance that takes a picture
Every clip on this page came out of the three endpoints the generator above calls. Seedance 2.0 Mini caps at 720p and fifteen seconds, and in exchange it is the only model in the Seedance 2.0 family here that accepts a still image or a reference set rather than words alone.
The brief behind the clipA late-night ramen counter seen from across the bar: the cook lifts a basket of noodles clear of boiling water and steam blooms across warm paper lanterns, a ticket rail sways above him, neon glows through the window behind. Slow push-in, shallow depth of field, broth bubbling and low street noise.

What you are allowed to hand Seedance 2.0 Mini
The rows below are the same ramen counter reached three ways. Read each row left to right: what went into the request, then what came back. The middle and bottom rows are the two the rest of the Seedance 2.0 family cannot do.

Nothing but the brief
The default mode here. Seedance 2.0 Mini builds the room, the light, the motion and the sound from words alone — useful when nothing has been shot yet.

Your frame, close but re-rendered
Hand Seedance 2.0 Mini a still and it rebuilds that composition rather than starting from your pixels. Our bowl, window and counter came back in place; the chopsticks resting on the rim did not. A tight cover version, not a continuation. A second upload pins the closing frame.

A cast, not a frame
Up to nine images, three clips and three audio tracks go in together, and Seedance 2.0 Mini rebuilds a scene in their likeness. The cook's face and apron carry over; the staging is new.
The only quality lever
Seedance 2.0 Mini gives you two resolutions and no more
Same brief, same length, same model — one at 480p, one at 720p. They are separate renders, so compare the texture, not the composition. This is the whole quality range Seedance 2.0 Mini has.
480p
$0.0721 / second
126 credits for 5s
Staging, blocking and timing all read fine. Fine detail — steam edges, the writing on the lanterns — is where it goes.
720p
$0.1547 / second
270 credits for 5s
Roughly double the price for the texture: cleaner steam, readable depth behind the counter, edges that survive a full-width player.
Honest placement
Seedance 2.0 Mini is not the cheap one
It is easy to read “Mini” as “budget”. It is not: Seedance 2.0 Fast undercuts Seedance 2.0 Mini at both resolutions. What Mini has is the image and reference doors. Prices are for a five-second 720p render.

Both walls are real. Past 720p you want Seedance 2.0, which is the only member of this generation that reaches 1080p and 4K. Past fifteen seconds — or when references need to hold up at higher fidelity — Seedance 2.5 runs to thirty seconds with a much larger reference budget. If you are still learning how to phrase a shot for any of them, the Seedance prompting guide is the shorter road.
Four fields that matter
Seedance 2.0 Mini settings worth checking before you send
The generator reads these off the published contract, so the form shows what Seedance 2.0 Mini actually accepts. Two of the four move the price.
duration"auto", or "4" through "15"
A whole number of seconds, passed as a string. Price scales straight off it, so fifteen seconds costs three times five. Auto lets Seedance 2.0 Mini choose the cut from your prompt; because nobody knows the length until the clip exists, the estimate reserves the full fifteen seconds. Name a duration and you will usually be quoted far less.
resolution"480p" or "720p"
The only two options. 480p runs at $0.0721 a second and 720p at $0.1547, so resolution roughly doubles the bill. There is no 1080p on Seedance 2.0 Mini at any price.
Auto matters in image and reference modes: it takes the shape from your upload instead of reframing it, which is usually what you wanted.
generate_audiotrue by default
Seedance 2.0 Mini writes sound in the same pass as the picture, so it arrives in sync. Turn it off only when bringing your own track.
Seedance 2.0 Mini FAQ
What is Seedance 2.0 Mini?
Seedance 2.0 Mini is the compact member of ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 family. It renders 4 to 15 seconds with native audio at 480p or 720p, from a text prompt, a single still, or a reference set of up to nine images, three videos, and three audio tracks.
How is Seedance 2.0 Mini different from Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast?
What you are allowed to feed it. Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.0 Fast are text-to-video only here; Seedance 2.0 Mini is the only one that takes a still or a reference set. The trade is resolution — Mini stops at 720p, full Seedance 2.0 reaches 4K.
How much does Seedance 2.0 Mini cost?
Per second of finished video, at fal's published rate: $0.0721 at 480p and $0.1547 at 720p. A five-second 720p clip is 270 credits, against 210 for Seedance 2.0 Fast and 305 for full Seedance 2.0. Pick Mini for the input modes, not to save money.
Is Seedance 2.0 Mini cheaper than Seedance 2.0 Fast?
No. Fast costs less at both resolutions: 105 credits against 126 for a five-second 480p clip, and 210 against 270 at 720p. Seedance 2.0 Mini earns its price only when you need to hand the model a picture or a reference set.
How long can a Seedance 2.0 Mini clip be?
Four to fifteen whole seconds, or 'auto'. Duration multiplies the price directly, so fifteen seconds costs three times five. On auto the estimate reserves the full fifteen seconds, because the real length is unknown until the clip is rendered — name a duration for a tighter quote.
Does Seedance 2.0 Mini generate audio?
Yes, on by default. Room tone and the noise a scene implies come out of the same render as the picture, so they land in sync. Switch it off if you are bringing your own track.
Does Seedance 2.0 Mini keep my uploaded image exactly?
Close, but not pixel for pixel. In our test it returned the same window, counter and bowl in place, then dropped the chopsticks resting on the rim. Seedance 2.0 Mini rebuilds your composition rather than animating your file, so check small foreground props.
What resolutions and aspect ratios does Seedance 2.0 Mini support?
480p or 720p — there is no 1080p or 4K here. Aspect ratio can be 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, or 'auto', which takes the shape from your input image instead of reframing it.
How many references can Seedance 2.0 Mini take?
Up to nine images, three videos, and three audio tracks per request. It rebuilds a scene in their likeness rather than continuing any one: given a cook and a bowl, it kept his face, headscarf and apron but invented a new shot of him carrying that bowl to a window seat.
When should I move off Seedance 2.0 Mini?
At one of its two walls. Past 720p, go to full Seedance 2.0, which reaches 4K. Past fifteen seconds, Seedance 2.5 runs to thirty. Both are one switch away in the picker on this page.
